the last few days here have been strangely HOT - and with the heat comes these awful biting flies that are basically the stuff of legend in our neighborhood. (if they get real bad, we've all been known to go swimming in jakalof.) today was one of those days. in the few minutes i spent outside in the garden - trying to cut all our kale for the freezer - i mostly just cursed very loudly (i'm sure dave and janet think my revenge will be ruthless and psycho) and flung wildly with my scissors. sometimes i can get so damn dramatic, but i swear, those flies are BAD. anyways, with the heat also came my first real garden flower (calendula) of the season; i am swelling with pride at this very moment!

DAMARA!!!! You and Andy have a freakin blog haha... you guys totally don't seem like computer people but damn you did a good job on your blog page for not being a computer person. I was so excited to get your letter I almost peed my pants when I saw it haha.... the highlight of my tiring day. So tonight i'm staying in a hotel on my day off... I went all out and spent 200 dollars for a room and got myself a cell phone with a 2 year contract YIKES!!! I have to start paying real bills and actually be responsible haha.... Well... I'm glad you have a blog the internet is the best way to keep in touch now days. I miss you bunches sis!! and hope I get to see you soon, maybe, my graduation from basic training.. who knows? haha... well.. I love you!
