so, for starters: what a hunk, eh?
and then there's the "big girl." you can sorta see my tummy in this picture . . . i'm at about 6 months here. oh, and i'm lounging in the SWEET! hammock we set up at our favorite beach on the big island.
and here we are near the end . . . tan and full of fruit . . . and feeling not-really-pregnant at all.
and here is a picture of COWS! andy and i rented bikes one day and went for the loveliest ride through farmland way up in the hills. it felt incredible to get on the old bike again . . . and fun to practice our minnesota cow calls - it always works! - and feel that pure giddiness as the cows ran alongside the fencerow with us.
the landscape definitely stirred up all those farm-girl dreams of mine. and just the sunshine and the moist air and floating in the waves . . . makes us both wonder why we chose so far north to live.
but, in the next thought, i have to say we know why: less people and traffic and american noise . . . and the people that ARE here are good ones . . . and we can live the way we want - hauling water and no siding and no mortgage - and it's not weird . . . and, also, a super superb place to raise up some crazy korean/greek children.
but oh, how i miss sandal and skirt wearing in march.
